CHROMA: An event of both colorful and musical intensity and vividness.

Jenny Klukken is a classically-trained percussionist turned jazz/world musician. Performing primarily on the marimba, Jenny combines her technical training on the instrument with world, jazz, and folk music. Her compositions fuse her many musical interests; the complex rhythms of Latin America, the improvisational freedom of jazz, and the singable lines of American folk music. Her approach to the marimba, an otherwise classical chamber-ensemble instrument, is unique, approachable, and enjoyable for all types of listeners. Klukken will start the evening with an Art Show, featuring her intensely colorful acrylic flow paintings.
